How can I get image sizes to match in Photoshop and Indesign?

For example, in Photoshop I just saved a TIFF at a three-inch width.

But when I placed the file into Indesign, the width is shown in the Control panel as 2.659 inches.

Hello Robert!

Is the resolution under InDesign and PS in this doc the same? Like the coulor managment it has to be set to the same numbers (e.g.: 360 dpi).
