Saving still from Final Cut into PS

Does anyone know what I could be missing as I pull a saved still from Final Cut into PS, edit the frame and pull back into FC – the still pulls into PS at 1920 x1080 (HD) but does not match original footage size when pulled back into FC? My apologies if this has been asked before but I cannot find any history of question. Thanks in advance for any help. JK
