Hello,
I am new to the Adobe photoshop I want to learn how to design and edit the images. Can someone please suggest me how should I start.

Check out this thread from a few days ago. I think it also includes a link to some reviews of other books. There are a number of really good ones, and most of them are mentioned in these recent posts.

I started using Elements exactly one year ago, and now I have about 12 books. You will find that you tend to read them less, but use them for reference more, as you progress. But first when you start, follow the tutorials, and go back to the book and it will all begin to come together.
And there are wonderful lessons,,,,,,,
