Hi community, have a simple question, where does photoshop save the presets you can define for new files?
Is there a certain folder or file?

how can i backup my personal new file presets?

If someone could help me quick, i will share my web banner presets in the adobe studio exchange

This should help, even though it was written for Photoshop 7.

Tymoe,

You shouldn’t edit the New Doc Sizes.txt in a text editor – it can contain non-ASCII characters! Doing so can prevent Photoshop CS from opening!

You can do all the editing required from within Photoshop CS File>New d/box itself and save the new settings as a preset.

That’s a nice improvement over the way we do it in Photoshop 7. I’ve done extensive editing to my New Doc Sizes.txt, and never had any problem.

Of course, I always edited a COPY of the original, just in case.

Yes, you can edit the Photoshop 7 New Doc Sizes.txt in a text-only editor without problems – there were no non-ASCII characters in that. There has been a change with CS.
