hi peeps, first post here…

i’ve been teaching photoshop for years and try to structure my mini courses to the client use. the thing is i’m teaching some people who design patterns for socks. they have to transform images into very small images where each pixel is a stitch for the machinery. i tried to use small resolution so the pixels on screen were wider but doesn’t seem to work.

first i thought about using some other software like microangelo but later discovered the software which ‘translates’ the image to needles only opens bmp format.

it’s really a strange situation, like walking in the wrong direction, instead of getting better definition i need worse!

i’m working with gif at the moment, you can choose the amount of colours (the most strings in the knitting machine are twelve) and i can even exchange colours at once.

still need to improve the scale of the pixels…

help or ideas welcome.

thanx
