I can not unlock a psd file

I can not unlock a psd file to edit one of the letters. It was a banner I did on another computer using photoshop 7.0, i belive. Photoshop elements wont let me unlock it. Any advice?

If it is on a CD, copy it to your harddrive to edit.

Also, if it came from a CD-R or CD-RW, check to make sure you have read/write permission.
