Hi there,
I have a gif image, black writing and white background. I wanted to change white background to transparent, so I used background eraser tool. I then tried to place the new image onto a patterned background, however it keeps throwing up the image with messy white edges. I have tried to save (to web) the image first and remove all white from the color table, also tried to save as psd but it just doesn’t fix the problem. Does anyone know of a way to cleanly remove the white edges and keep a strong black image of writing?
Much appreciated
Nicholas

Instead of using the Background Eraser, select the black text with the Magic Wand and drag it across to the patterned background with the Move Tool.
