I am a newbie to Photoshop CS. I am wondering how to make the picture like http://www.kungfudepot.com/test.jpg. For example, I take a picture of my furniture at home. I want to get rid of the background and only my furniture is left so that I can post it to the web. Thanks.

My best suggestion is secure the book, "Classroom in a book." This book has the images for the lessons on the CD, after you have completed several lessons you will be able to use the erase tool, and have an understanding about what advantages quick mask is in the world of graphics. You will also have learned about layers, and why you save all your image files in abobe format not in jpg format.

Anything less than spending 5 hours in self education be prepared to open your checkbook for some one that has 10 hours of lessons in graphic.
