I have been following a simple Photoshop tutorial to create a brushed metal background with these three steps:
Step 1: Create a blank 200px by 200px document and Edit > Fill it with 50% Gray. Now run Filter > Noise > Add Noise, with the amount set to 20%, distribution set to uniform, and monochromatic checked.
Step 2: Select Filter > Blur > Motion Blur, with the angle set to -45 degrees, and the distance set to 20px.
Step 3: Add highlights using Filter > Render > Lighting Effects.
When I apply Step 3, I keep getting this error message:
Could not complete the Lighting Effects command because a requested property value could not be found.
Anyone?
