Font Issue

I am using photoshop version 7 and sometime recently I started getting a strange thing happening. When I go to make a new layer and use the type tool, no matter what font I choose (even when they are set to ‘regular’, the font is italicized. In fact I cannot get a standard non-italics font at all. Any idea what would be causing this?
