I have had Photoshop 5.5 on my computer for years and never had a problem with filters. I just went to use them, but most of the filters, such as Charcoal, Notepaper, etc. don’t appear in the pull-down. What is the problem? I have 79MB largest unused block on G3 computer, Mac OS 8.0, Virtual memory is off. Minimum size is 19341K, Preferred size is 52319K. Filters are in the Plugin Folder.
Thanks

Are they just grayed out or are they gone? If they’re just grayed out, make sure the image mode is RGB and not CMYK.

A: They are gone. I am in RGB. The only ones there are Blur, Noise, Pixelate, Sharpen, Stylize, and Other

It sounds as though you have a 16-bit image.

You will need to change to RGB 8-bit mode to access the other filters

I reinstalled and it works fine now.

Thanks to both of you!
