I was trying something from Kelby’s book, PS cs for Photographers.
He creates a Levels adjustment layer. Then uses that as the state to paint using the Art History Brush onto the Open state. Nothing happens.
However, if I use levels directly on the layer (no Adj layer), and use that state, the Art History Brush works fine and will paint the levels effect.
What am I missing?
