Is there any way to constrain the free transform warp tool? What i’m after is a way to constrain the layer to a cylindrical shape, I need to constrain the layer to the vertical to keep the symetry ratio correct.

Also, in Adobe Help I found this
"(Optional) To apply the warp using a more detailed algorithm, select High Quality in the options bar." Where is this option?
Thanks

This is an error in the help files. Warp does always output an high quality transformation. 😀

Stevent, non of the presets transform provides what you are after?

well, i saw a post mentioning a degredation of the image quality in a layer when using the warp tool (of course I expected degredation depending on the degree of distortion), but thought maybe there was an algorithm that would reduce it (there being an option for it, I presumed it required a higher cpu/mem usage).

As for the presets; Arc would be close, except it arcs the vertical as well as the horizontal. I want to map a layer onto an elevated view of a bottle, so the vertical would cange less than the horizontal distortion. Maybe for the next version, CS3?
An example is below – the upper shape is what i would like to achieve – but but with the precision of a preset (arc is the bottom shape btw).
