Can anyone confirm this bug? I can reproduce it on both Mac OS 10.3 and Windows XP SP2.

In Photoshop CS… Make a few raster layers… draw a rectangle with the rectangle tool. Link that shape layer to some of the other raster layers in the layers palette. Hit Ctrl+T to activate Free Transform. Hit Esc key to deactivate Free Transform. Select a raster layer. Hit Ctrl+T again.

Result: Free Transform cannot be activated any longer. The menu item "Free Transform Path" is greyed out for the rest of the time that Photoshop is open.

The only way to get Free Transform back is to use the selection tool to select part of a raster layer. Hit Ctrl+T will bring Free Transform back for the selection as well as subsequent layer selections.
