I’m not sure where the problem lies but I can’t get my printer to print exactly what appears on the screen for PS 7. I’m using the Epson 9600. I have calibrated the monitor, ie I went through the systems preferences and did the whole apple disappearing thing. I have tried all the different color settings in PS. I have tried different settings when I print. The main difference between the monitor and the printed version appears to be saturation. The computer is much more saturated. Perhaps more contrasty too.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I’m not actually the photo printer person, but just a technical helper so I don’t really know much about this. If anybody could at least point me towards where the problem derives that would be helpful.
Thanks,
Renny

Well, just remember, there are people writing doctoral thesis’s on this subject and color science, so don’t expect a "one button solves all" simple explanation. Since you’ve not given very much info on your setup, knowing where your problem truly lies will require a lengthy troubleshooting session.

Do a search in these forums and even google on this subject, read the PS manual and Adobe’s support knowledge base on color management and try these sites:
