Hi’ there

Got a question about actual size and resolution in adobe photoshop. I need to make my image in 300 DPI and the size of the image in A5. My problem is that the resolution seems to override the actually size of the image. So how do i make sure the image is A5 in size AND got a 300 DPI?

Check ‘Resample Image’ in the ‘Image Size’ menu dialog.

You turn on "Resample image."

"Resample image" means "change the number of pixels." If your image is not 300 pixels per inch at A5 size when you start, it will invent pixels out of thin air. Note that this WILL NOT increase the quality of the image. If your image does not meet these specifications, for best results you must start over and re-create the image at the correct specifications.

I dunno why you need to reduce or increase, but just print whatever max resolution is.

*But* if you can’t live without 300-PPI then you can check the "Resample" option. But I would suggest you do do more research about "PPI"
