You can change the ppi resolution to anything you want.
If you want to print out an image at a larger size, you can increase the pixel dimensions of the image in Photoshop, but PS will do interpolation of the image data, and depending on how large you go, you will wind up with a more or less blurry or pixelated version of your image.
First, it’s most likely 72 PPI [not DPI] – sorry to be pedantic, but it matters.
Yes, you can do this. Right-click on the title-bar of the image and click Image Size… You can then change the resolution, but… !!!
If Resample is unchecked, not much will happen, except that when you print the image it will probably be smaller. If it is checked, PS will "upsample" – i.e. try to create new pixels for you; this may be fine, but, if pushed too far, will ruin your image. You can try it and see what you get [on a copy!].
