Hi there,
I used my scanner at work adn emailed the pic to myself so I could access the file. The problem was I could only email it in .tif format. I bring it into photoshop and there is a point when I look at the actual scale that the sketch becomes seperated into dots. I am afraid it will print out that way too. What should I do, save it as a different type? Export it? Any suggestions? thanks Mike

Why? You should be able to email any file in any format. A JPEG file is smaller than the same file as an uncompressed TIFF.

A TIFF file contains your exact image data. Saving it in another format will not change it; it will still be the same image. If it is too low a resolution, or contains flaws, as a TIFF, it will be the same resolution and contain the same flaws as a BMP, a JPEG, a Scitex CT, or whatever.
