I recently restored my system from a ghost file, and I’m wondering if some setting got screwed up with my Photoshop 7.

When I go to adjust levels or color balance instead of bringing up the adjustment sliders with the histogram….it instead selects the picker tool….locks me out of everything else and then i’m stuck.

It’s quite frustrating really, and I can’t seem to get around it. I uninstalled
Photoshop, re-installed and for whatever reason it still does it.

I’ve checked in settings….preferences…and can’t figure out why it does it.

If anyone has any answers, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Try resetting Preferences. Hold down Ctrl-Shift-Alt while starting up Photoshop and click yes when you get the dialog…

Thank you so much for the advice! It worked, and now I’m back to business as usual. Not sure what setting/or how that setting got to be, but it was a huge pain!

Thank You Thank You
