When I try to enter type, I get a dot and a line, but no characters. The selected color is black, point size is 72, line spacing is 72 and I see nothing. Is my Karma out of whack? Have the Type Gods decided to frown on me today or what? I click on the commit buttons in the options bar and everything dissapears. I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but this ain’tmy first rodeo with PS. How have I erred?

Thanks for your reply. I solved the problem by refreshing my workspace … and poof, the problem went away. FYI, I couldn’t highlight. Everything was how I normally set type except for the results. Thanks again for responding.
