I’m trying to print a pdf file from within Adobe Photoshop. I need to set the linescreen to 75 lpi. It’s going to be a newspaper ad. Unfortunately, when I do this, the whole image including all the text gets treated as a halftone with dots. Is there any way to have the text print out black and crisp while the graphics get a 75 lpi screen? My pdf file was created at 300 dpi. Is this too low?
Is Photoshop the right software to print a pdf file? I tried using Acrobat reader but there is no way to set the linescreen; I’m using a postscript printer.
Thanks,
Wayne
