I’ve had a play with the keywords feature of Photoshop CS file browser. I notice that adding keywords to JPG images results in an image in which the EXIF data has been seriously affected: although the EXIF data can be displayed in Photoshop, it has been stripped as far as other applications (such as IrfanView) are concerned. I’m guessing this is something to do with Adobe’s XMP standard, which IrfanView presumably doesn’t support.
Is there any way round this?
I’ve searched the newsgroups and found similar problems described, but I’ve not seen any mention of this issue with keywords.
