1 More Quick Dot Gain Question

Hi Guys

I got one more quick dot gain question, when i set the custom dot gain setting under edit/color setting, for the grayscale dot gain section in PS CS how does it stay with the file thats open that i want the dot gain setting to apply too because when i reopen the file it uses whatever default dot gain setting is set and not the one i want for it. Hope im not too confusing.

how does it stay with the file <<

It will only ‘stay with the file’ if you save with embedded profile and do not convert on opening to a different profile.

Finally figured out my settings were set for gray and cmyk embedding of profiles to be off : 0
