don’t use this very ofter and just recently found that I don’t know how to use to rename files above 100. My photos are all numbered not named. When I went to use Batch Rename (to a file of photos that has over 200 images) I selected 01 with two digits. What I got was 01- 100 and then for the second 100 images – 01 (1), 02 (1) etc. I went back in and reset it to 01 with three digits and that solved he 01(1) problem but started my first number with 001 instead of 01. How do I set Batch rename to just go from 01 to 2000 (or whatever).

As always, thanks.

Thanks for the reply. That’s what I have been doing but was hoping not to have to do the 001 or 0001 option. I guess there is just no way to do 01 to whateve, huhr???

Thank again

The number 01 would naturally come after 00x in a filename naming scheme, which would place any image with 01 after image 005, which you probably don’t want. Of course image "number 5" should come after image "number 1", which is why if you want to organize your filenames in the thousands, you would use four digits starting with 0001. You could just manually rename the first few to 01s and the others to 00x and 000x, but then your files would be out of order if arranged by name.
