I am hoping someone can give me a technique for creating the wire frame for a photocube. I can create a white version using the 3D transformation filter but it doesn’t have the lines. I would like a frame that shows the lines of the cube to use as a guide for positioning the photos. Preferably something I can superimpose on a new transparent document.

Any ideas? I am using PS 7. Thanks

Are you wanting to make a rotating GIF animation, or just a static 3D image?

I am not experienced with making GIF files although I am planning on learning, but if you wanted to just make a JPG file in PS7, I suppose the easiest way would be to draw a 3D cube with the line tool, then skew the desired images so they look pasted onto each side of the drawing. Is that kind of what you are looking to do?

I’d try and draw one up myself but I’m not at my PC.

Thanks, yes I’m trying to do a static image with the internal lines that I can use to line up the skewed/distorted photos. I can get the basic shape with the 3D transform filter but without the guide lines it is hard to line up the 3 photos correctly.

You could always use a 3D program to produce a simple wireframe cube drawing for reference. Did you want many segments to the box, or just one big box? What angle were you looking for? I could always shoot a 3D cube your way if you need.

or you could just use free transform holding crtl on the corner points to line it up…
