Cursors – Tool Pointers

Hi

I wonder if anyone can answer this very simple question. I am using Photoshop CS on a PC. For some unknown reason my cursors have switched to precise from brush size and standard. Setting the cursors the way I want them in the Preferences menu has no effect they remain as precise. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop CS but the cursors are still in the precise mode. Any ideas how to change them I don’t like precise cursors.
