I noticed taht PS elements has a cute funstion to rotate images by drawing a line that should be straight, but of course I don’t use PS elements (I use CS2). Is there a way or a plugin to do such thing in CS2? To rotate images now I have to make it a level, rotate it by hand, crop it by hand. It’d be nice to have a tool like element’s.

About perspective, a simple way to correct it is drawing a distorted rectangle that will be corrected. This function in present in paint shop pro, and a similar thing is done with the perspective crop funcion (that obviously crops too…)

any idea?

Measure tool (the little ruler underneath the eyedropper). Draw a line with it along the line you want straight and choose Image>Rotate Canvas>Arbitrary.

This is a nice simple method using the measure tool (hidden under the eyedropper tool in the Toolbox).

No need to enter angles or the like.

Since when did Elements have something good that CS2 doesn’t? Measure tool, rotate canvas, arbitrary.

NO measure tool, rotate canvas, arbitrary, crop tool, a quite difficult selection and then crop.

Is there any way to make this crop automatic? I’m looking for a script/action that do so..

The Selection Brush? QuickMask is nowhere near as nice to use, IMHO.

But you can do a lot more with QM; apply filters, manipulate transparency, etc. Can you do those things in Elements?
