Hi everyone,
I’d like to save or export a .gif file as an .avi but can’t seem to find this option in Imageready.
Am I missing something? Or is there an other way to do this? I’m not very new to Photoshop, but haven’t used Imageready that much. Thanks

That is correct.

An .avi file is a movie that is compressed using one of many possible compression methods. A .gif, even an animated .gif, is not a movie. Imageready does not work with movies.

you can do an export to a .mov, but not an .avi

you can use Gif Movie Gear, though:

oops I didn’t answer what you asked
Windows Movie Maker will open a gif and you can save it as AVI and lots of other video formats
