Thought the options were external harddrives or double "dumping" a card reader on separate computers.

Is there a direct access route to two computers in one instance by networking? How would you setup this up?

May have found a non-networked solution called a "USB pc-link cable" which is a device used for file transfer. (usb 1 speeds.)

I thought I might use "Version Cue" to setup the process and use "Automate" to operate the backup. Is this possible? And if so, would it be realiable?
