Cursor dissappears Photoshop 7.0

When I use the text button in photoshop, and I switch back to any other tool my cursor disappears. I can use the tool I am wanting to use, but I can not see the cursor, and the only time this happens is when I switch from any tool to the text tool. Can someone give me an idea of why this is happening?

My cursor is on the screen, but all I can see is cross hairs. I can’t see the actual size of the eraser or pencil. Do you have any ideas, on how I can fix this problem?
