Color replacement using PS CS

Hi all. I’ve edited a photo using Photoshop CS. After applying the Cutout filter, It now only contains 4 colors (black, white & 2 shades of grey). Is there a simple way of editing one of the colours so the light grey now appears e.g. yellow?

Is there a simple way of editing one of the colours so the light grey now appears e.g. yellow?

One simple way is Image > Adjustments > Replace Color, use the eye dropper to select the color(s) and use the hue/sat controls at the bottom of the dialog box to change them.

Somewhat less simple (but more flexible) is Select > Color Range, use the eye dropper to make a selection of the color(s) you want to change, which gives you a selection … now with this selection active make a new adjustment layer of type hue/saturation and make the adjustments there. The advantage is you can re-edit the adjustment layer if you want to tweak it.
