The serial number on Adobe Creative Suite Premium does not work – erroe message is serial number invailid. I am upgrading from PS 7.0 on a Windows Professional 2000 system.

Sounds like it’s mis-packaged (i.e. wrong CD to wrong serial number). Take it back and exchange for a different copy.
