We have 500 color images (Digitally taken)
Pixel Dimensions 17.2M
Width 2000 Pix
Height 3008 Pix
Document size
Width 6.667 inches
Height 10.027 Inches
Resolution-300 Pixels
File is JPEG
We need to make 2 set of 500 images
1 set in color and one set in BW
Size: Width 2.5 inches Height 3.5 inches and 100 resolution saved as Tiff Using PhotoShop 7.1 or PhotoShopCS we can make Action
and convert them to BW and size them the same time then save them one by one as Tiff.
The question is, are there any other way to do this package different way than what we know?
Thanks for reply in advance…

Is the main problem saving them as TIF files automatically – that is, without intervention?

Well, yes.
We kind of like to know if there are other ways to do… sizing
changing from color to grey scale
cropping
then saving to Tiff

yeh you have the action and it works ok but your doing 500 one by one right?

Go to file menu, Automate > batch select input the Action you created, the input directory and an out put directory and it will do all of them automaticaly.

Thanks for the help, but could you give step by step how it is done. I did open file/automate/batch but how can we point to the folder where the images are and how to do this batch thing?
we have a folder where 500 images are saved as JPEG, folders name is GRAD. DO we have to make the Action first and save it?
Then what???
Thanks for the reply in advance

When you go to File>Automate>batch there is a dialog box. You can select the set and the action you want to perform, then use the button for Source and select Folder. Navigate to the desired folder. There are other options for subfolders and profile mismatches. Set them to what you want then do it. You can test the batch on two or three files in a folder before you do the 500 set.
