Automate ‘new document’ with dynamic values?

Is it possible to record an action for ‘new-document’ but not use the same value each time it runs? I want it to use the value of whatever size is copied to the windows clipboard at runtime. Right now – if I record it – it uses the same size document for each image I run the action on.

n8, as phos says (in the other thread) you’ll need to record a stop in your action. actually you just toggle the dialog on for new. I’ve done this and assigned it to a function key. I press the key the dialog stops at the new file window. That’s where it gets the size of the clipboard data, then all you need to do is press enter to confirm.
