How to convert B & W image to color?

I have a .psd file of a black & white (line drawing) logo. How to I convert it so that the black lines in the logo are the color green? ….I’m using Photoshop 7.

I determined how to do this. In the hope that it may help someone else, here is the procedure:

– Open .psd file of drawing

– Add a new layer (in top menu bar: "Layer" > "New")

– Click on Edit in top menu > Fill with color desired (use foreground color – selectable via color swatch in left tool bar).

– Change blend mode (right click on "Layer 1" > "Blending Options" > "Blend Mode" in the Layers box & change option to "Lighten").

– Click on "Layer" > "Flatten Image" in top menu to collapse layers
