Cant save as a jpeg due to program error.
I rest preferences still cant save as jpeg in CS2 V9

The file is probably not RGB 8 bit.

"JPEG format supports CMYK, RGB, and Grayscale color modes, and does not support alpha channels."
(quoted by PhS help).

Save for Web can be applied to 16 bpc RGB images, but
Save As JPEG requires 8 bpc RGB source images in CS2
(as tested).

PhS JPEG can save clipping paths, if I recollect
correctly !

Are you getting a program error after selecting a place to save a JPG file or are you simply not getting the option to save in the JPG format? Those are two different matters.
