CS4 animated zoom doesn’t turn off…

CS4 animated zoom doesn’t turn off. I have it unchecked in preferences but zoom still animates most of the time. Can this be fixed?

Indeed. Seems like a bug that slipped. I can reproduce the wrong behavior. Guess we all too much enjoyed the smooth zoom and never bothered to turn it off ;-). Please report it here:

If you turn off GPU mode, won’t it stop?
