I should expect by now that you should know that stating which version of Photoshop you’re using is an important component of asking for help.

Anecdotal: Mac OS X 10.4.11, PS CS2…I don’t see the problem you mention.

My bad…It’s PS CS…pointer tool= move tool (sorry for the confusion) was a brain-cramp riddled day.
