Can someone explain what exactly is the purpose of the rotate view tool. I know it rotates the image on he screen, but as near as I can tell, it has no effect on the actual positioning of the pixels. Is this feature simply to give you a different prospective while you work on an image?

It give the same effect as rotating a sketch pad when drawing or painting. People have been asking for it for years.

Also helps in drawing tricky paths, etc.

Okay, thanks. I at first thought it was a subset of rotate image (FKA rotate canvas) But I quickly figured out they are in no way similar, and thought maybe I was missing something.
