Slide show won’t play

Using WinXP and PSE5. I created a slide and burned it to CD. When I insert the into a CD drive the Autoplay windows comes up but nothing plays. When I insert the disk into a DVD player the shows displays nicely on TV. How do I get it play on the PC?
