Hi there;

I’ve been trying to figure out how to transform images into only 2 colours, as smooth as possible.

Something like this – <http://flickr.com/photos/waltjabsco/421073165/>

Please help me out!!!

Thanks;
Sarmen.

You could try Image-Adjustments-Threshold or Posterize for a quick and dirty method. Threshold will give you two tones, one dark and one light. Posterize will break your image down into the number of tones you specify.
If you want better control of the result, I think your best bet would be to convert your image to a greyscale, then go to Image-Adjustments-Levels and try pulling around the little triangle sliders.
edit-I should say that instead of using the Image-Adjustments-Levels command directly on your image, it would be better to make the Levels change via an "adjustment layer," located at the bottom of your layers palette (the little black/white circle). Then you can simply double-click on the adjustment layer and continue to adjust it to your heart’s content without permanently damaging the image beneath.
