NEF looks different in ACR and Orgainzer on PSE 3

Is an NEF file supposed to look the same in Organizer and ACR on PSE 3?

I noticed that the color of the same Nikon NEF picture looks a lot more saturated in the Organizer compared to Adobe Camera RAW. But as soon as I convert the NEF file to JPEG, the JPEG picture in the Editor looks the same in ACR and the corresponding new JPEG picture in the Organizer.

It looks as if the Organizer does not render the NEF files according to the settings in ACR. Just wonder if this is what other people see. Or I misconfigured something?

I have read that photoshop does not correctly handle the white balance from RAW images from the D50 and D70s. I don’t know why or if they are working on a solution.
