Get Pictures

I am using a Canon Photoshot G# camera and can’t get Adobe Elemnts 3.0.1 to get the oictures. It says that the files are corrupt. I can save the pictures on my hard drive and view them with a jpeg viewer, but the program has a major problem.

Any suggestions?

How are you trying to get the pictures into PSE?
Are you trying to import from the camera directly?
Or are you importing from the folder into which you have manually copied them?

I’ve tried both ways. If I download onto the hard drive and then try to import them into PhotoShop Elements, I get a message that the jpeg file or jpeg marker isn’t valid.

This is very strange. You might like to post again, including the camera model in the title – that might get the attention of other users of this camera.

One other random thought, make sure the file extension (the 3 letters after the "dot") is jpg – as in IMG0001.jpg.
