I’m using CS3 Extended. I’ve scanned in a photo as a JPG and saved it as a PS file (RGB, 8 bits per channel). I’ve copied the background to form a new layer. Any attempt at dodging, blurring, cloning, painting, fails to work. The paint bucket, pen, and eyedropper tools however do.
I’ve tried using the original JPG image, but it makes no difference. I’ve upgraded from CS2 and never had problems with this stuff before.
Any clues?
