I uninstalled cs3 beta with the help from the NAPP forum. I have windows xp so I used the add and remove option. A box starts up and there is about 14 components you can check to uninstall and I was told to check each box…I think this was a mistake.
Now in elements 4 and cs2 my adjustment layer don’t come up right….I get a new layer dialog box with the name of the adjustment layer that I have to click ok. Next all the adobe icons on my brushes and actions are gone and my bridge is a total goner. So I guess cs3 beta shared files and the uninstall wiped them out.

Should I follow the technote 401492 to manually remove the left over files from the beta (didn’t know that I was to deactive the beta),uninstall cs2 and then reinstall cs2

Try doing a repair installation of PsCS2 before trying the beta removal script (which has the potential to cause problems).

Manually removed the left over files from the beta and did a repair installation..thanks Michael. My bridge working again…haven’t check everything in it yet, but I can get to from the icon in cs2. All my icons are back, but I still have the new layer dialog box going up first when I open a adjustment layer from the menu bar….works correct from the layers palette
