For some reason, just in photoshop, any time I open a picture with blues or try to select blue as a color, it turns into purple. No where in the program can I do anything with blue. But if I save the image using blue (which still appears to be purple) it will be blue outside of photoshop.

This is pretty annoying and it might just be a setting or something that I don’t know.

Any help? Thanks.

You need to profile your monitor using Adobe Gamma or a third party profiling device.

Have a look here for more on colour management: <http://www.computer-darkroom.com>

Does the color change if you make it color=CMYK or color=RGB?

Hi
I am using adobe gamma, the instructions are fine but there is no mention of the monitors gamma settings while doing the calibration. Adobe gamma mentions that monitor contrast should be set to max during your calibration, but what should the gamma be set to while following the ‘wizard’. AT the intial stage you adjust the monitor brightness to set the black point, should the monitor gamma be set to zero at this stage.

Why doesn’t any of the help pages mention this, have I missed something?
