Since upgrading to CS4 I can not open more than one file. I have checked the preferences and can find no help. What do I need to do so that I can have two or more files displayed simultaneously?

Have done both. Same problem. When two files have been opened they both appear at the bottom of the Windows drop down menu but only one can be open at a time

Just drag the image out of the panel, or use the menu Window->Arrange to Float All in Window to let image show in independent tab.

Is there any way to choose this as *default* method for opening a new window?
