I am using Photoshop 6 and I have just replaced my old computer with a new one. However, I don’t have all of the fonts with the new computer that I had with the old one. Any ideas as to why this has occurred? And how to get those fonts back?

If all else fails there are lots of fonts on the web. Check your old software disks also.
