Very often, I will "take a picture" of my desktop using Apple-Shift-3, and then manipulate the resulting PNG image in Photoshop (v.8.0 for Mac). Invariably, I want to save the retouched image as a JPEG file. But when I "save as," the default is always a PNG image (because that’s what the original file is).
Is there a way to force the "Save as" to always save as a JPEG, no matter what I’m working with?
Or can I teach the Mac to make a JPEG when I hit Apple-Shift-3?
Thanks!
