Hi guys, when I scan a picture with some moire in it which is a best filter to use blur or despeckle? Which filter will give you the best quality?

Thanks and best

median : )

-The best quality would come from no filter at all, sharp scan (if you can print stochastic)
-next best from scanning (or shooting) slightly out-of-focus
[some scanners can and all cameras]
-then would come scanning tilted at the highest optical resolution and resampling down with the crop tool when straightening the scan
-blur, despecle and/or median are last resorts and should be avoided at most costs (not all : )

I assume that the moire you speak of is the rosette pattern : )

If you are scanning printed material, you have got permission from the original owner of the photo to use it?
